We all love a good cocktail. This January 23, get a chance to have one of the best cocktails you’ll ever have in your life when you drop by Yes Please! Bartenders Andrew Loudon and Mel Chavez of Singapore’s Tippling Club is taking over the Yes Please counter from 8PM-12MN!

 

Yes Please has been doing bar takeovers for sometime now.  ICYMI and what it’s all about, bar takeovers let amazing bartenders from all over the globe to craft cocktails for Manila’s fave 90’s centric bar. You don’t have to fly and stalk these bartenders to get a taste of what they’ve got, all you have to do is drop by Yes Please!

Andrew Loudon is the Head Bartender of Tippling Club in Singapore’s Chinatown. He started bartending when he was just 20 in Manchester. This Briton has several international competitions under his belt and has also claimed other European and regional titles.

Andrew Loudon @andyloudon85 • Tippling Club, Head Bartender • The 33-year-old Briton has taken the reigns from the enigmatic @joe_schofield seamlessly in 2018, adding to the Tippling team creatively, working alongside chef-owner Ryan Clift @chefryanclift in a collaborative pursuit to push the boundaries of modern-day cocktail culture. Watch this space… • Andrew started his bartending career during his university days in Manchester, England, at only 20 years old. He quickly rose through the ranks of a number of high profile bars in the city of Manchester, before relocating to London, to work with innovator and bar-owner Tony Conigliaro where he embraced a more scientific approach to drinks construction. Subsequently, Andrew took over the reins at Satan’s Whiskers in Bethnal Green, cultivating it to become one of the top cocktail bars in the city. • Andy (as he is affectionately referred to at Tippling) ultimately made a name for himself winning international competitions such as the 'Havana Club Grand Prix' and 'Drinks International Cocktail of the Year' award, whilst also laying claim to other European and regional titles. • Drop by @tipplingclub in the evening for a cocktail & introduce yourself… 🍸 • #sonsoftippling #tipplingstaffseries #tipplingclub #singapore

Meanwhile, Mel Chavez, Tippling Club’s Assistant Bar Manager, has competed and won in several competitions as well. He has a passion for making bespoke cocktails — and has the awards to prove that he’s killer at it.

 

We heard that Tippling Club is famous for their Wake Me Up Fuck Me Up (vsop cognac, whisky & honey spirit, chocolate bitters, espresso) and their Purple Drank (vanilla & raisin spirit, curacao, candy gomme, raspberry citrus). And can we just lowkey brag that Tippling Club ranked 7th in Asia’s Best Bars this 2018????
