Don’t Forget To Sanitize Your Phones, Here’s How To Properly Do It

It’s been a scary past few days ever since the city has been ordered to go on a lockdown. We’ve all been scouring the shops for some alcohol, stocking up on food, buying a ton of vitamins and what not to survive staying at home for a month or so. You and your family are probably disinfecting every corner of your homes and washing your hands non-stop! But we tend to forget that one item that can easily catch germs are our phones – that we are holding ALL THE TIME! So how do we get rid of those germs? Here’s a how-to disinfect your phones so that you can enjoy a germ-free browsing through social media:

TURN OFF YOUR PHONE

Just to be safe, turn off your phones and take off your cases.

MIX MILD SOAP AND WATER

To prevent corrosion and damaging your phone, best to use some mild household soap and dilute it with water. In some cases, you can also use 70% alcohol – but better be safe and stick to mild soap for now.

USE A CLOTH TO CLEAN

If you have a microfiber cloth, that is the best type of cloth to use when you are gently rubbing your phone’s surfaces. If not, personally, I use facial tissue. Gently rub the surfaces and avoid the openings! Also, don’t forget to do the same with your phone case and earphones.

DRY YOUR PHONE

Wipe it again with a dry cloth or tissue and you are good to go! But remember, you are always in contact with your phone – so best to practice this on the daily. Despite the pandemic, you should be disinfecting your phones anyways. This can also avoid pimples on your cheeks! *wink*
